A pan mixer is a circular mixing machine in which rotating blades and scrapers blend cement, sand and aggregate into a uniform concrete mix before it is poured into moulds. The Sadashiv Enterprise pan mixer has a 1500mm or 1800mm pan diameter, a 500mm pan height and a 400–500kg batch capacity, driven by a 5HP or 7.5HP three-phase motor.
What Is a Paver Block Mould?
A paver block mould is the reusable negative form that gives a paver block its shape, thickness and surface pattern. Moulds are consumables rated in casting cycles: a PVC rubber mould lasts 500 to 1,000+ cycles, while a plastic mould lasts 200 to 500 cycles. Both types sit on the same vibrating table.
How Many Blocks Per Day Can One Line Produce?

How to Choose a Paver Block Mould
Five steps, in order. Each one narrows the choice, so working through them in sequence avoids buying moulds that do not match the table or the market.
- Step 1 – Fix your daily output target. Decide how many blocks per day the unit must produce. One 10ft × 3ft vibrating table supports 2,500–3,000 blocks per day; above that, plan for a second table rather than pushing one line harder.
- Step 2 – Choose the block thickness. 60mm suits footpaths and light traffic, 80mm suits car parks and medium traffic, and 100mm is used for heavy vehicle and industrial loading. Thickness determines which mould range applies: 40–100mm for plastic, 60/80/100mm for PVC rubber.
- Step 3 – Choose the mould material against your volume. If the line runs continuous shifts, PVC rubber at 500–1,000+ cycles gives a lower cost per block despite the higher purchase price. For small or intermittent production, plastic at 200–500 cycles ties up less capital.
- Step 4 – Select the design pattern. Match the pattern to local demand: zig-zag and I-shape are the volume sellers for driveways and roads; Milano, Colorado, Damru and Brooks are used where appearance matters. Chequered tile and curb stone moulds run on the same table.
- Step 5 – Calculate how many moulds you need. Moulds are occupied while the concrete cures, so you need enough in circulation to keep the table working. Share your target output and block size when requesting a quotation and the required mould count will be worked out with you.
How to Set Up a Paver Block Production Line
- Step 1 – Prepare the floor and power supply. The vibrating table and pan mixer both need a level concrete floor and a three-phase supply. Budget for 2HP or 3HP for the table and 5HP or 7.5HP for the mixer.
- Step 2 – Position mixer, table and curing area in sequence. Material flows from the pan mixer to the vibrating table and then to the curing yard. Laying the three out in a straight line removes most of the manual handling from the process.
- Step 3 – Batch the concrete. Charge cement, sand and aggregate into the pan mixer manually, mix to a uniform 400–500kg batch, then discharge through the bottom door.
- Step 4 – Fill and vibrate. Place the mould on the table, fill it with the mix, and run the vibration motor until the concrete is fully compacted and the surface levels off. This is the step that determines block strength and edge quality.
- Step 5 – Demould and cure. Transfer the block to the curing area and return the mould to the line. Cure the blocks before stacking or dispatch; the curing time you allow governs how many moulds must be in circulation.
