A PVC rubber mould lasts 500 to 1,000+ casting cycles. Mould life depends on how carefully blocks are demoulded and on how the moulds are stored between production runs.
What thicknesses are PVC rubber moulds available in? +
PVC rubber moulds are made in 60mm, 80mm and 100mm thicknesses. 60mm suits footpaths and light traffic, 80mm suits car parks and medium traffic, and 100mm is used for heavy vehicle and industrial loading.
Which designs are available in PVC rubber moulds? +

Are PVC rubber moulds worth the higher price? +
For a unit running continuous shifts, yes. At 500–1,000+ cycles against 200–500 for plastic, a PVC rubber mould casts two to three times as many blocks over its life, so the cost per block is lower despite the higher purchase price. For small or intermittent production, plastic ties up less capital.
